Forty Doors & One Very Big Idea

There are ordinary ways to build a house. Bringing forty doors with you probably isn't one of them.

During the making of Blueberry Brook, Brooke Kottmann arrived with a collection of forty doors. His daughter Ginny—an artist helping shape the property—was tasked with figuring out what to do with them. Rather than treating them simply as construction materials, she found ways to work them throughout the house, adding another layer of character to a place that was already becoming anything but ordinary.

It's a small story in the larger history of Blueberry, but it says a lot about how the property came to be: work with what you find, see possibility in unusual things, and don't worry too much about making everything match.
